Background

As a living historian via her persona of a nomad from the Himalayan plateau, she calls Lao. From there, Heather began making hats and were immediately dubbed the “lao hats” and have been a big hit throughout the area. Her inspiration is from the cultures of medieval Europe, Russia and Eurasia. Each hat is made from salvaged vintage materials, thus no two hats are identical. They are more than art pieces, as they can be used as durable hats in any weather. A portion of each hat sold goes to Real Change, a non-profit organization that helps the homeless and those living in poverty.
