Background

Jim enjoys creating unique handcrafted sculptures carved primarily from soapstone or alabaster. He begins with rough sketches of the design, stance or balance. As he carves, sometimes, the creation will take a whole new direction. His “Dancing Bears” have become a trademark, and he has carved many bears over the years. He is shown in many galleries and festivals throughout the year.
