Background

In 1999, Stanley found a book on Jackson Pollock and was intrigued with his form, balance and color. While influenced by Jackson’s style, Stanley developed his own techniques and patterns. He incorporates metallic paints, sand and salt, applying them to canvas using al alternative method to dripping. Often he uses various chemicals to create the textures and marbling found in his work. Most are then sealed with polycoating.
