Background

David is both a research scientist and a photographer with residences in both Seattle and the Bay Area of California.

The history of photography is replete with examples of image capture without a camera. These remarkable images are from David's scanner series, where he uses a computer and scanner with photosensitive materials in a darkroom setting.

David's artistic philosophy in his own words: “Day by day, I find the world to be a truly amazing place. These images are my attempt to communicate that feeling.”
